Amy loved Istanbul, but unfortunately Istanbul wasn't so nice to Amy as she developed a rubbish cold whilst there! However, Amy didn't let a runny nose and congested eyes stop her from enjoying the sights on offer. So, in the course of just a couple of days, Amy got to visit the Blue Mosque, the Aya Sofia, the Galata Tower and the very impressive Basilica Cisterns.

She also saw Asia for the first time though her first visit there will have to wait for another time.

Amy managed to charm the locals and so avoided having to buy a carpet. Sometimes it pays to be a baby...!

Despite the amazing sights in the city, Amy's favourite memory from Istanbul was travelling around the Princes Islands by bicycle. Well, in a trailer at the back of a bike to be exact. She even wore her Tour de France t-shirt for the occasion - although her Dad wasn't quite as fast as she would have liked.
