Hotel in Asian Istanbul

Hi,

Is it a good idea to book a room at a hotel located in the Asian part of Istanbul in order to have good views and a different perspective of the city? or would you stay in the European part?

In the Asian part, I have seen that there are ferries from Uskudar and from Harem Otogar areas. Maybe my hotel could be arround those places ?

And finally, if you think that staying in the Asian part is interesting, could you recomend a couple of mid-range hotels?
