First off, yes, the dates on the title of this blog post are correct. We spent 4 wonderful days in Istanbul as a stop over on our way back to the US when leaving Tsamaya in the water in Fethiye, Turkey. Our plan was to spend the winter in the US and return to Tsamaya in the spring of 2020. As everyone knows plans changed with the spread of Covid. As a result, we have been in the US since the ... Like so many others we love to travel and we love to sail so cruising makes a lot of sense. Janice has retired from Cornell as a business manager and Bob has retired from South Seneca school district as the high school principal. It's time to sell the house, get rid of whatever doesn't fit on our 40 foot Caliber LRC named Tsamaya (this means Travel Well in Setswana) and set off to see the world. OMG! What a wonderful trip with so many memories! And love your photos...Istanbul looks like a wonderful place to visit and with so much history. "slow food" is the best way to taste what a city has to offer; love window shopping wherever we go. Thanks so so much for sharing. Wish you both good health and hope you get back to Tsamaya soon!!

I'm staying tuned...
I enjoyed reading about the ceremonial aspects of carpet buying. It reminded me of our ceremonies in Istanbul, Bukhara, Tunis, etc. Our planned trip to Edinburgh in late August deferred another year after United cancelled our flights. I just heard that they are resuming flights unit their partner airlines. However, Linda is so upset with this emotional roller coaster caused by governments reacting to Covid, that she doesn't want to re-book. Now I'm planning to do other trips on our list, but her list is slim to none. I'm hoping she will get her travel spirit back.
