My grandfather landed on the shores of Gallipoli 25 April 1915. It's an honour to accompany my darling 90 year old mum (his daughter) to attend the commemoration ceremony. She's a grandmother and great-grandmother. I'm a grandmother...Grandmas in Gallipoli.... Now, 14 months after this incredible and humbling journey, we go to France with very dear friends. Oh Jan I am so enjoying your travel stories. You are doing such a good job I feel in my heart I am doing the trip with you. Your day was extremely full. I remember being exhausted doing those sights in TWO days, and I'm not yet Mabel's age. I don't think you would have been out belly dancing in the evening. Hope you both had a really good sleep after all that sightseeing. XX
