“Sucedió que, yendo de camino, cuando estaba cerca de Damasco, de repente le rodeó una luz venida del cielo, cayó en tierra y oyó una voz que le decía: «Saúl, Saúl, ¿por qué me persigues?»El respondió: «¿Quién eres, Señor?» Y él: «Yo soy Jesús, a quien tú persigues.
Pero levántate, entra en la ciudad y se te dirá lo que debes hacer.» Saulo se levantó del suelo, y, aunque tenía los ojos abiertos, no veía nada. Le llevaron de la mano y le hicieron entrar en Damasco. (…) Había en Damasco un discípulo llamado Ananías. (…) Fue Ananías, entró en la casa, le impuso las manos y le dijo: «Saúl, hermano, me ha enviado a ti el Señor Jesús, el que se te apareció en el camino por donde venías, para que recobres la vista y seas lleno del Espíritu Santo.» Al instante cayeron de sus ojos unas como escamas, y recobró la vista; se levantó y fue bautizado. (…) Al cabo de bastante tiempo los judíos tomaron la decisión de matarle. Pero Saulo tuvo conocimiento de su determinación. Hasta las puertas estaban guardadas día y noche para poderle matar. Pero los discípulos le tomaron y le descolgaron de noche por la muralla dentro de un cesto.” Hechos de los Apóstoles 9, 3-25. ENGLISH As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. 4 He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” “Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked. “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied. 6 “Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.” The men traveling with Saul stood there speechless; they heard the sound but did not see anyone. 8 Saul got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes he could see nothing. So they led him by the hand into Damascus. (…)In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias (…).Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord—Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here—has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” 18 Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptized, (…) 23 After many days had gone by, there was a conspiracy among the Jews to kill him, 24 but Saul learned of their plan. Day and night they kept close watch on the city gates in order to kill him. 25 But his followers took him by night and lowered him in a basket through an opening in the wall. Sesi duydularsa da, kimseyi göremediler. 8Saul yerden kalktı, ama gözlerini açtığında hiçbir şey göremiyordu. Sonra kendisini elinden tutup Şam'a götürdüler. 9Üç gün boyunca gözleri görmeyen Saul hiçbir şey yiyip içmedi.
10Şam'da Hananya adında bir İsa öğrencisi vardı. (…)17Bunun üzerine Hananya gitti, eve girdi ve ellerini Saul'un üzerine koydu. «Saul kardeş» dedi, «sen buraya gelirken yolda sana görünen Rab, yani İsa, gözlerin açılsın ve Kutsal Ruh'la dolasın diye beni yolladı.» 18-19Hemen o anda Saul'un gözlerinden perde gibi bir şeyler düştü. Yeniden görmeye başlayan Saul kalktı, vaftizoldu, (…)Yahudiler onu öldürmek için gece gündüz kentin kapılarını gözlüyorlardı. 25Ama Saul'un öğrencileri geceleyin kendisini aldılar, kentin surlarından sarkıttıkları bir küfe içinde aşağı indirdiler.
