Birds of the Gulf
Hi Susan. Wonderful reading about your continuing adventures on the Arcadia. I believe the large white birds in your photos are Northern Gannets. They are powerful streamlined seabirds that are adapted for plunge-diving for fish. Their distribution area is from Iceland down to Newfoundland and the east coast of Canada and the U.S. to the north western coast of Africa, the Mediterranean, the middle east and then the European coast and North Sea to the north of Finland and Norway. They really get around. Keep enjoying that cruising'!
