This may be the last entry for a little while. I'm staying here at lotan for another 7 days, and then I'm going to a 3 day beach party in Eilat with rabea, this amazing German girl who has basically become my best friend here. And then, the best part: we're going to the pyramids? Yup, the egyptian ones. We're going with two, hopefully three other volunteers from the Eco. And they're all really cool! We got our visas this week... After that, mom is flying in and we're traveling together for two weeks. I'm really excited for that too. We have a jam-packed schedule including Masada, ein gedi, the dead sea, Tiberius and tzfat, the Bahai gardens in Haifa, and visiting my cousin Sarah in hadera.
So I'm not sure when I'll be having stable Internet again, I should be able to pop out another entry before I leave israel. But just in case, now you all know what I'm up to. I am having possibly the best time of my trip right now. It is a high I can't explain. But I recommend to anyone to think outside the box, jump out of your life and travel. It sets you free.

pyramids
Maddy - you may not know it, but I've been following everyone of your posts, and **loving them**. Just wanted to comment on your trip to Egypt -- Mia and I were there in the early 90s. Be prepared that the pyramids are awesome, but you really can see the city all around and it does not feel terribly remote. If you get a chance to go down (which is up!) the Nile to Luxor or other places south, definitely take the chance - powerful!! Also, the only time we got sick in Egypt was at the end of our trip and we were feeling desparate for fresh vegetables, so went to the pricey Hilton to eat in their restaurant, assuming it was safe, but forgetting that it too was in Egypt and used the same water sources (if used at all). Have a terrific trip - it will be unforgettable! Love, Seth
