Thanks again.
Nick, I finished reading your Middle East blogs about an hour ago, and I still have envy and awe running through my veins. Envy because of the variety of your experiences there, and awe at the clarity and class that you write about them with. Your photography is breathtaking too: TravelBlog is full of careless photos of cute street kids but your pictures tells stories. Enjoy the rest of your travels and please keep writing! J.

love your photos
i love it when tourists interact with the locals. it is such a priviledge indeed to be invited to a local home and see how they live. damn it "priviledge" keep turning red no matter how i spell it. sorry, english is not my first language. what the hell! even the word english is underlined with red, i feel like a moron. anyway. keep writing. i hope i get enough courage to befriend locals the next time i travel abroad

There are some issues with electricity in Iraq...

HaHa! At first glance, I thought this was taken in Kyrgyzstan. They have issues with electricity there too. I used to know the electricity was back on, when those wires started to crackle. There were powercuts everyday for several hours.
