A couple of weeks ago an accident befell Alex's new tent, due to freak winds. So he and Ineke took it to a repair man on the Wirral, and today we all went to collect it. It was well mended, much to our relief, and we spent a great day at the Wirral Country Park and the Marine lake at West Kirby - which is a man made lake for learning to surfboard and sail, but no-one trying it out today.

The Wirral is a piece of land between the Dee and the Mersey rivers.

google maps
Hi Carrie, I just went on google maps to find this place as I was not sure where it was. It is a fair drive from your place isn't it? Did it take a couple of hours to get there? It looks like a lovely place though. As you say, the tide was way out!! xx

well, you were busy. in fact its only just over an hour to get there as the roads are quite fast. But we stopped on the way, and on the way back to look at interesting thins, while we were in that direction.
