TENBY
Lovely TENBY Bay Because we haven't had a holiday this year and our big one isn't coming up til the Autumn, back in July we spent 3 nights in a friends' caravan in the beautiful reort of Tenby, Pembrokeshire in South Wales.
The weather prospects were rather dire so we took warm clothes, books, DVD's and no sunscreen. We would regret that last omission!
The caravan is actually 5 miles from Tenby in the tiny village of Manorbiere. It's quiet, pretty and a lovely spot for oldies like us or families with young children.
We drove straight there - almost all the way on the M4. To our delight the sun came out as we arrived in Tenby and from thereon it was warm (even hot!) apart from as we drove towards the caravan park and I commented on how lovely it would be to have a thunderstorm whilst we were in the caravan - the sound of the rain on the roof etc . So imagine our delight when as we were unloading the car the sky turned black and next minute torrential rain and spectacular thunder and lightening, all on cue.
I'll let the photos describe what we did, where we went
TENBY
Tenby main beach etc but we had a really lovely time. Hope our long and MUCH more expensive trip to the USA is as successful!!
