Saturday 21.11.2009 Day 38
Laugharne
We had a great bfast then went to Shakespeare wife (Ann’s) home where she lived before she married him. It was a sweet thatched farm house with fantastic gardens. We then drive to Shakespeare mother’s house which was supposed to be a working farm still where they have keep breads of animals as they would have been in Shakespeare day. When we got there it was closed for urgent restoration and you could see it needed then we could still see it from the road. We used out Sat Nav to take the back roads to our lodge for the next week. On the radio we heard that lots of roads were closed due to flooding and it was raining lots and we could see lots of rivers had broken there banks and lots of water laying in the fields and on the road. We were lucky to get though fine and see a lot of the country side on the way. We got to our lodge at about 3 and checked in. We then went and got food for the week and my friend cooked me a fantastic roast dinner.
