Last night Jess and I were wandering along Oxford St after dinner in China Town. We knew we were flying to Edinburgh on the weekend, but we thought the flight was on Sunday. When I got home at about 10pm, I called Jess and asked her to check what time the flight was on Sunday. The flight turned out to be in 8 hours time! We spent the night packing, with a few hours sleep and caught a taxi to the airport at 5am. I hadn't even started packing because I was positive the flight was on Sunday, so glad we checked, otherwise we would have had to buy another flight.
I slept during the entire, short flight. Edinburgh airport is quite close to the city which is nice and a cheap bus trip. We found our hostel and had a long early afternoon nap.

A different view of the Royal Mile. Santa was also walking around, an icing rink and lots of rides- it was all happening here! I had a mug of gluwine, it was yummy, sweet and hot. It was a very impressive Christmas market. We also walked through the National Gallery of Scotland. It had a great collection of paintings.
We walked to the tourist info centre- we were in need of a break from the cold! From here we booked theatre tickets to see The Witches of Eastwick this evening. We then went back to hostel, rested, got changed and then went to the theatre. We had great seats and the show was great, pretty funny too. It was then time to go to bed and rest up for tomorrow!
