Horizons Unlimited motorcycle adventure weekend on 18th - 21st JuneHello Peeps!
Just thought i'd try and find out how to work this 'blog thing' by writing something of an introduction.
I'm Collette, I'm a 37 year old podiatrist and i'm shacked up with a Stuart a 39 year old draughtsman. We've lived together in a rented flat in Peterborough for just over a year before deciding that the NHS and Anglian Water weren't really 'doing it for us'. So much so, that one evening after a custom bike show at Charters pub and too many units of high strength Top-Deck we decided to jack in our jobs get rid of all of our 'stuff' and disappear around the world on motorbikes.
Obviously this was not without its problems, the first one being that I hadn't ridden a motorcycle for about 10 years and Stuart hadn't passed a bike test at all! But the short version is that this was rectified and because of all of the brilliant advice chiefly from (or linking from) the Horizons unlimited website, we are now embarking on the 'slightly modified' 3 month tour of Europe. Hi to you both you lucky lucky people it was be nice to hear from you as you are just about to embark on your adventure. The best I could do was to get out & about over the weekend on my Ducati but only managed a piddling 200miles a little short of what you will both knocking up! Good luck
