The route
The map was a hit and saved repeating ourselves a lot hehe! Saturday 14th August, 2 weeks before we travel and its our leaving party but it still doesn't feel real! An event like this could not pass-bye with-out a traditional poem from some of our good friends that we are leaving behind!
For an insight to our crazy world - I hope you enjoy!
A goodbye isn’t a goodbye without a rhyming biography,
A few words about you all’ll be nice, wouldn’t you agree.
So here’s a little farewell poem from Mandy, Liv and Kate,
Providing you’re all here, as Liv’s normally late.
Let’s talk for a minute or 2 about Jin,
You hear her before you see her; her cackle can cave your ear drums in.
She has an alternative intelligence, of seeing things differently,
Like children breathing under water, with gills that you then lose in puberty.
At the natural history museum, she didn’t care about the tyrannosaurus
Instead she announced she was looking forward to seeing the Thesaurus.
Her one liners are a treat and go down in history,
“I have beef” and “Worcs can kiss my bleep”, pure unadulterated comedy.
There aren’t many
hobbies that aren’t for her,
However tidiness is not one of them, unless you count her growler.
Jin is a natural social animal and always the first to get involved,
She’ll lend a hand when you’re in a fix and a problem she’ll try to solve.
We’ll miss her little face and her rolling dice challenges,
Best of luck Jin Bean, come back soon cuz New Zealand will need some peace!
Next in line is our lovely Natalie,
Small but loud and a member of everyone’s family.
She makes friends very easily but has a propensity to stalk,
She’s ensured Zoe from Hollyoaks thinks she’s a bit of dork.
If you don’t yet know who she is, just wait for a good dance track,
Then she’ll be the one doing knee slides, or head butting you in the back.
She’s always the life and soul of a party,
But mostly when she’s representing the Bacardi army.
Her 18th was a memorable occasion for some of us,
Nat turned green and thought people were stealing her prizes, despite us telling her to shush.
Dr 2 scarves she put her name on that claim,
But the real family Dr couldn’t be here, which is a shame.
Many a laugh and a joke they do share,
All over a nice cold beer, a banter and a dare.
Nat loves to dress up despite a crazy fear of clowns,
A tutu, dressing gown and St Georges flags have caused a few frowns.
There once was a time Nat and her Nova got squashed by a van,
Taking on the van in a single file tunnel, was never a good plan.
Football is a time she comes into her own,
When attacked by a dog unbelievably she didn’t moan.
A balloon tried to tackler her and scupper her path,
One of her many falls to bring stress to the gaff.
Nat loves her nights out in Worcs, Brum, Fever and Fuse,
With such venues on offer, surely travelling she wouldn’t choose!
It’s been onederful having the honour of being Nat’s friend,
But like Nat, you mustn’t cry and this is not the end.
Last but certainly not least we
have gorgeous Original Livia,
Our curly haired lass, with a quick wit but she can be a diva.
She’s an eco warrior, vege turned carnivore,
Too many years without meat have made vegetables a chore.
She has a love for animals and insects but especially bees,
Steph will NEVER again show a bee her size 3’s.
Have we mentioned that Liv’s nearly always late,
She’s regularly seen painting her nails when actually on a date.
Talking of which, Liv’s now in an ‘R’,
The lovely J Scratch and her are rarely apart.
We’re glad she’s hooked up as Livs pulling techniques,
Left a lot to be desired, they weren’t very sleek.
A good idea of Livs in the early pulling days,
Was to stare at the back of mens heads, hoping they would come and play.
A few were rejected along loves’ rocky path,
Due to bad breath, hunting hobbies and too curly hair - she can’t have that.
She has many talents not everybody’s aware,
That she can sing like Kate Bush and beat you in an arm wrestle, if you dare.
Appearance is important, to our lovely Turtong,
So devastated she was when she fashioned a doily instead of a thong.
There will be a hole in our gang as we say goodbye to our Liv,
As she’s a hoot, a class friend and as good as a happy pill.
So here’s to the 3 of you as you depart on your adventure,
May it be exciting, wonderful, life changing but never a chore.
Remember us lot back in here in good ole Blighty,
We’ll be here when you get back, all pale and unsightly.
Keep in touch and please stay safe,
And remember in New Zealand to ALWAYS close the gate.
Goodbye and farewell Jin, Liv and Nat,
Love Liv, Kate and Mandy and that my dears is that.
