Marks and Spencer
THE Institution. 'Nough said. We set off for Sheffield so that I could experience the VAST Meadowhall Shopping Centre. One of the first places we entered was the Marks & Spencer shop. Marks & Spencer is an institution in England. It was a pretty cool shop with lots of sales going on and seemed a lot like one of its large American counterparts like Belk, or Hecht's, or JCP. Helen told me that just about everyone in the country wears M&S underpants...just a bit of trivia for you. :-)
After we had shopped a bit, we went to the Oasis (food court) for lunch. I had traditional English fish and chips at Harry Ramsden's and it was beautiful. It didn't come wrapped in newspaper, but that's okay, it still tasted yummy.
Li'l Sis, you should be SOOO jealous, there are H&Ms all over the place here! More incentive for you to come visit! ;-)
We then came back home and were lazy bums again. So far, this is a great vacation-no real plans, but no stress over anything either!
You can visit the mall's website and see all it has to offer at
Meadowhall Shopping Centre if you so desire. :-)
