I went on another trip today. As you might be able to guess from the title it was to England and consisted mainly of castles. These drawers were built into the wall and could be pulled out...

I really lliked these plates, with the bright colors and the lattice work around the edges.

I realize that the amrour on the right is just placed lower and that it would cover a man's chest and upper thighs. But they way it is placed it looks like a young girls dress-up dress, made out of metal.

There were a few nice tapestries here. When they were first made and a brilliant vibrant color they must have been wonderful to look at.

Robin on the way to the Castles
Hi Maryanne, Nice to see your blog again. Sounds (and looks like) you had an interesting trip. The first bird in your photoset is an English Robin - the Robin redbreast of children's nursery rhymes. I'm so jealous. Now you have a bird on your lifelist that I haven't seen yet. Maybe we'll see on in Paris on our way to a castle :-)
