In the coming months (september) i'll visit South America for the first time with a few friends, we'll be travelling to Argentina, Peru and Bolivia. we've done all the preparations necessary and I look forward to it.

One of the conundrums is deciding how to spend while abroad, in the past i've opted for cash but that's risky, there debit cards but some UK banks including mine charge you a fee every time you use your debit card abroad, credit cards, am not sure whether they charge you but also I do not want to pay interest. enter prepaid credit cards, these are similar to credit cards or debit cards but are more like gift vouchers, you must deposit the money and there's interest to pay.

So for the first time, i'll give prepaid credit cards a go, i'll also carry some cash for places where it's needed!
