This morning I woke quite confused, thinking it was Sunday, wondering how I had missed out on a day in Liverpool. My final recourse was to check the internet for the date!

UNESCO et al
So, did I understand aright? That UNESCO had issued warnings because of too much redevelopment with ultra-modern buildings? On another matter, the architectural detail you captured is amazing. It's fascinating how aesthetic sensibilities have changed over time. (Mind you, I shouldn't be surprised: eyeglass frames are now getting huge again.) I like the oddments - bits of "historicana" like the wrought-iron gates and the old tollbooth.
