Up and over!
Still fit as a (broken) fiddle at 40. In the a.m., I went for a run along the canal towpath. Thought it was an irrigation canal. Turns out it was a coal-towing canal from late 1800s, abandoned for that use when the trains came in. Right near our house I came across two swans and a family of Mallard ducklings.
Later we took the kids to "England's Wonderland." It's like Canada's Wonderland only in some ways better. There are roller coaster rides of course but there are also animals, a corn maze, and loads of physical things for the kids to wear themselves out on like an obstacle course, zip lines, enourmous play park, and nerf ball shooting. They had a blast.
The park was in the town of Melton Mowbry - world famous for their pork pie. I got to eat exactly none because we stayed in the kiddie park so long it was time to just go home.
Tomorrow we leave for an over-night trip to Norwich to visit Lori's dad's cousin Audrey. (Maybe I'll snag a pie or three enroute).

Very Cool!
This blog is so cool (pictures and everything - although I haven't seen any pictures of mommy yet?). I love hearing about your daily adventures, it's my highlight for the day. Nevermind the Pork Pie - have you had any sticky toffee pudding yet? How are the chicken's - it sounds like your experience with the chicken's is very similar to working at The Region! Maybe the kids could dress up like a couple of foxes! As for the amusement park, so I'm picturing Lori in a tracksuit with a stop-watch putting Nigel and the kids through their paces on those obstacles! You're secretly going back there every morning now to work out aren't you Lori- screw the coal canal!?! Seriously though, it looks and sounds like you're all having a wonderful time - glad to hear it. Shauna
