there is exactly 1 month to go now...

first we should introduce our trio as all you reading this might not know all of us! we all met at seven kings school. jaya and suhi have known each from year 7 and manjit joined them in the sixth form of the same school- so at least one good thing came out of that place!! we have been friends ever since even though we all went to different unis and studied very different subjects… so in alphabetical order is some more detailed info:

jaya- I'm not sure who i'm writing this or addressing it to; is this the world? (unlikely), our relatives? (maybe), or just the three of us? (definitely). Not sure what to write, have been told that thinking about an introduction for a weblog for about a month is way too long a time. The first thing you'll have guessed by way of this is that i procrastinate a lot; so it comes as a surprise that words have been put into action and i have actually purchased (this is suhirtha and manjit's bad go-getter influence) an air-line ticket. Other minor details of a formal introduction, i work as a sales temp in a london department store (not saying which one as i don't want to give them a free advertisement), am 21 and am quite a cynical person in only the way someone who lives in london and is a former law student can be. Maybe this trip will melt my cynicism (doubt it), but who knows, in 6 months time I may be mortified by this introduction and want to write something nice, since Manjit knows about computers i'll ask her to change it and the wonders of cyber space will amend and erase. Amazing. But for now this is it.

manjit- a huge cricket fan... not much else to say about me really! lol! but i suppose i should so here goes: i support india, i went all the way to holland to watch rained off matches last august, i would love to go to the world cup in the west indies in 2007… hmmm i guess this going to bore a lot of you (especially my travelling companions!) so I better stop with the cricket here… but do not fear, I shall talk about it more in later posts!!!

i graduated in computer science this year. i love books and films- the best film I seen recently has to be the motorcycle diaries… very inspirational. i love my music and its only club asia on my radio at the moment! lastly, never in a million years did i think i would be doing a trip like this so you can probably guess that i am sooooo excited right now but also a little nervous! right i'll stop rambling now and let suhi have her turn...

surhirtha- Hi, i'm 21. I am clearly interested in seeing the world and feel like a bit of a idiot writing this. Graduated from psychology, and am workin 4 help the aged and comet trying 2 fund this mini adventure. Can't wait 2 leave. Clearly i'm a very interesting person. Manj i love u, but if u talk bout cricket 2 much i will carry out jaya's threat and leave u in the amazon. :-D
