The Rosetta Stone

We had marked down a few Museums to go and look at during the day, unfortunately a lot of them were closed so we went and had a look at the British Museum. I had visited once before but managed to find some new rooms and the Rosetta Stone which I somehow must have walked straight past on that first visit. This artifact assisted in understanding many previously undecipherable examples of hieroglyphic writing. It has been at the British Museum since 1802.
