Work.
I went to The Lion King box office today to buy tickets for tomorrow night. So excited!! Tickets were only £27.50 so fairly reasonable and they weren’t even the cheapest ones! Lol!! I hope it’s going to be good!!!
I asked the guy who sold me the tickets what the dress code was and he was like ‘clothes would be preferable’. I just had to laugh at that because I always thought I should go naked to watch The Lion King. Get back to nature!! Lol!

Work.
THE LION KING HERE WE COME!! I decided to get dressed up a little for it. It’s been a long time since I got fully dressed up. Little black dress, straightened hair; I feel like a million dollars at the moment.
Amelia and I had a quick dinner at Montague Pike. I think I’ve mentioned it before. The food is really cheap and so good!
The Lion King was amazing!! It was nearly as good as the film. Although I did have people sitting next to me who didn’t speak English, but decided
to talk constantly throughout the theatre. At the start of the show, the speaker said no cameras or filming but they didn’t listen at all. So frustrating!
Definitely go to see it if you can!! The music and the acting are fantastic! I was on a high for a long time afterwards.

I made another chocolate cake to take with me.

Up at 5.15am to make picnic food to take in. Sandwiches, dip, carrot sticks, chips, bottle of wine and fruit. My day pack was full.
I went with another girl from the hostel, Steph from Canada, whose alarm didn’t go off and I had to wake her at 6.10am. We were going to leave at 6am but it didn’t matter.
We left at 6.15am and caught the tube down
to Wimbledon and sat in line. We were numbers 7772 and 7773. A lot of people line up there over night to get Centre Court, Court 1 or Court 2 tickets. The line started moving at 10.30am and got into the grounds at about 11am.
The reason they hand out tickets is so that people can’t come up later and push in line. It’s actually very well worked out.
Once we finally got in, and decided to line up on Court 3 for a seat, as they had the best line up. After an hour of lining up, eating sandwiches and drinking some wine, we finally got onto the court and sat there for 5 hours!
We watched;
* Jelena Janovic versus Melanie Oudin - Oudin won in an upset, Janovic was not happy at all!
* Amelie Mauresmo versus Flavia Pennetta - Mauresmo won, after cracking the shits after several calls that she did not agree with and hit a ball out of the park! So funny
* Gilles Simon versus Victor Hanescu - Simon won, they were both really cute!! Only a part of the match though
We moved to The Hill
to watch Andy Murray play Viktor Troicki. It was a fantastic match! I thought it was going to pour down over us and I didn’t bring a jacket to wear. I only had my umbrella and towel to wrap me. Thankfully the rain avoided Wimbledon and hit central London instead!
Andy Murray won and everyone went nuts!! After the game, we went back to the other courts to see if one of the courts was still playing. The only one left was Mahesh Bhupathi and Sania Mirza versus Colin Fleming and Sarah Borwell. It was a great match to watch the end of. The Indians won and the crowd erupted!
We left Wimbledon back to the hostel after a long day. I needed some greasy Chinese food after a long day. Got back to the hostel at 9.30pm and bed by 11.30pm. Long day but so worth it! Fantastic!!

Woke up feeling so tired but time to go again. Today was a picnic day! Alicia messaged me to meet up and Amelia and Clement are going to come as well.
More picnic food and sandwiches! We left for Hyde
Park at about 12.30pm and had a fantastic time. Bruce Springsteen and others were playing a concert at Hyde Park which made the day even more enjoyable. Met some fantastic people and played a game of Roundas, similar to baseball, with some Londoners. The best time!!
Home at 7.30pm, back to work for a break I think.
