I managed to finish my Christmas shopping ready to send back to NZ on Monday plus book our New Years trip to Edinburgh for the Hogmanay Festival.
Monday night I was back at Bar Salsa, and convinced Klaus to come and check it out as well.
I started looking for a new flat to live in, as our current flat will be renovated and we have to move out by 12th January. However, I have not found anything promising yet.
I received a call from out client at Thames Water on Wednesday asking for the Specification Document, associated plans and drawings by the end of the day! (A big ask!) So I had a busy day ahead of my with my job manager being away.
I got home on Thursday to find Scott telling me that our washing machine has completely packed up with his clothes stuck in it. Awesome. I managed to get his clothes out, but looks like we need a new washing machine - which, by the way, took over a week to get, rather than the next day as promised. So we were all running out of clean clothes!
I have concluded that
Suz's 25th
Suz, Matt, Hannah I need to find out more about the history of High Wycombe. I spend most of the time that I am awake (though some may argue) in this place and I don’t really know much about it! Are there any castles, historic buildings, geographical features that are worth looking at?
Friday night I headed over to Clapham Common for Suz’s 25th Birthday Party at The Fine Line Bar. There were heaps of people there, and caught up with a few people I have not seen in a while plus meet a few of Suz’s other friends. We danced the night away until I realised the last tube had been and gone.
I was going to head to the Redback with Simon and some mates, but by the time we got to Hammersmith in the ‘taxi that was really a taxi’, I realised that they were never going to make it there and decided to get the night bus home from Hammersmith Bus Station.
I had a bit of a sleep in on Saturday before heading down to Burlingtons near Oxford Circus to get my hair cut. I haven’t had a proper haircut in ages, and left the
The Couch Girls
Beth, Helen, Hannah salon feeling completely different!
Saturday night, Beth, Helen and I went over to West Brompton for a flat warming of some of Beth’s Netball Team friends.
One of the guys had brought a guitar along so with a few extra improvised musical instruments we had a few sing-a-longs.
On Sunday, Helen and I went down to St Christopher’s Place and had some nice crepes at one of the French café’s. We had planned to have a little look in the shops along Oxford Street before heading over to Regents Park, but we never got there.
We did however manage to get some Christmas decorations including some sparkly fairy lights for my room!
Sunday night was a bit of a girls night. Helen stayed over for dinner and we chatted with Irene until it was time to go to bed at the end of another week.

I see it is neither purple nor spiky, but pretty cool nonetheless.
