So today started off shitty...i (and dan) decided that it is probably best to separate...he just isn't any fun, not willing to be social with others...he was just being really quiet yesterday on our tourist-y trip through london, so last night i went to the bar downstairs and hung out with the australian bartender and this other guy from south carolina who were both super chill and told me they thought that dan was being wierd and not cool...they were telling me to ditch him, but i definitely was really scared about the thought of being alone in a foreign country...at the same time though, and this is logically thinking, that i really dont want my trip being ruined by someone, and i think that this will force me to get to know the city better and put myself out there and meet new people and see awesome sites...

(writing this on 29 June)
anyway, it got better because the aussie bartender took me and this guy Will out to see Camden (more specifically, the bars in Camden). we went to about 4 different bars, had really good strawberry beer at the Edinboro Castle (not a castle, a bar/restaurant...awesome atmosphere and decor!) i was glad to do non-touristy stuff for a day....London is awesome, teh sites were really cool, but i definitely want to experience a less urban environment...i am excited for Paris, hopefully i can find some cool camping although i'm skeptical of travelling and camping solo now that i wont be travelling with dan...

mom, dad, derek, dont be scared...i'm being careful!!! i'm just trusting my instincts and i feel like i'm fairly good at that (despite my lack of a good choice of travel partner!) I had to get a cheap hotel for a night in paris because of the new arrangements so it was a little more expensive than i would have hoped to pay for one night (30 euro) but its supposed to be an awesome little hotel (according to the ratings on hostelworld.com...its called Hotel Clarisse, if you want to see where i am staying...i'm trying to get a hold of Leah because her and her family are in Paris and said that i could stay there for free for a couple nights and have her show me around Paris cuz she stayed there for 6 months...should be fun, i'm getting more excited about this trip now that i dont have a set itinerary with two people's input...now i'm rethinking where i'm going to go...probably spending the most time in Italy and i'm thinking more about going to greece now tht i can cut out some of the eastern european countries... but anyway, i guess i'm just writing what i'm thinking which might be hard to follow... but yea, i had fish and chips last night (i just remembered)...it was delicious! i HAD to get it, cuz i'm in London, man! that was equally, if not more, important to me than seeing all the cool old architecture! anyway, having a great time now...more to come from Paris!!!!!!!!!!!! 😊
