Collected the rental car from Marble Arch and John and Geoff make it successfully back to the hotel to collect the bags - and the luggage!!!!

John drives out of London through Trafalgar Square, down Whitehall and past the Houses of Parliament without drama. People here are very 'friendly' - they beep at you all the time! Arrived in Cuckfield and visited the church where g-g grandfather James Loveday was married. Visited the Ripleys - John's gypsy relatives and enjoyed some English hospitality in Uckfield.

Continued on to our Bed and Breakfast - Woodbine Farm at Cross in Hand. Enjoyed dinner at old English Pub - the Star Inn - established in 1348. Great stuff!! Had warm, flat beer - not impressed!!!
