We set off on Monday morning in 2 cars. Weather wasn't too bad. We had 260 miles to do.
We stopped at a few service stations for a break and to let the kids get out of the car and have a run around.
Arrived at the hotel. We had the family room, me, Carl, Bradley, Elise and Vikki shared this room.
Chris and Leanne had their own room.
We got there with time to go to the beach for an hour. Elise was determined to go in the water despite it being quite cold. Bradley put 1 toe in then ran in opposite direction, I think it was more the loud sound of the waves than anything esle as he actually loves water.
We did some sand castle building then back to hotel for wash and change.
Found a good local pub so we ate there both nights. Had a BIG dessert. It was like a goldfish bowl and full of profiteroles, ice cream, cream, choc sauce, sweets, curley wurleys and wafers.
Me Vikki and Bradley demolished 1 off between us. Leane, Chris and Elise also demolished one.
Then back to hotel, all in pj's and early to bed as

Chimp going down slide - look no handsit had been a long day.
Up at 7.40 on Tuesday as Bradley wasn't sleeping in. Down for breakfast 8-30. No comlaints there, lovely breakfasts for everyone.
Then off to Monkey World. What a lovely day, weather glorious. We spent about 5 hours there and enjoyed it. Therer were so many different monkeys and all had a sad tale (no pun intended). This is a fabulous place and relies on people visiting to help fund them. www.monkeyworld.org many rescued from all over the world.
Had a great day there.
Then back to hotel, washed and changed and off to pub for another fantastic meal. Only got a single dessert this time but Bradley helped me eat it .
Back to hotel and in pj's and we all watched some tv in bed.
Wednesday, up at 8. Breakfast, cars packed up then on the road home. We got a few miles down the road and the heavens opened and every car actually slowed down as the rain was that bad you couldn't see properly. Drove out of that into lovely sunshine. Had a few stops along the way and home for 4pm. When Bradley sees the advert for Monkey Business (programme

mmm this looks delicious about monkey world) he jumps and shouts at the monkeys on the screen telling them he has visited them .
