A walk through the small village to the footpath.
We went for a walk starting finishing in Bellstone. The high moors are a bleak but beautiful landscape, supporting sheep and hardy plants like the Juniper tree and yellow flowered spikey bush Gorse. Some say it smells like coconuts AP thought so too but RM less so. It was both a cold and sunny day. We found a sheep’s jaw bone which RM took with him for good luck, but later went off of and left it. We tried to reach a high summit point but the Gorse was too thick and the ground too boggy for our wet feet, though we got some lovely views on the way back. We had a pint and dried our feet in the Tors in Bellstone. AP had some warm spicy cider RM the Cornwall Rock Ale, which is a bit tasteless.
