......so technically we are not yet travelling, we have both quit our jobs, selling all our stuff, by this I mean our cars....blub. But the bigger picture and all that.

In preparation for our travels all we have really done is get some money together, brought paracetamol and savlon....and are hoping for the best...which will probably be the same for the next 8 months.

Just cant wait to go, hence us testing our blog a little...hahahahahaha.!

Are you both looking forward to the same things or have you got different ideas about the highlights / low lights of the trip? I’ve been having a think about what you should do when in Perth WA. The beaches are fantastic. There are so many that they’re all relatively empty and are all clean. South of Perth lies Freemantle, it’s a typical old colonial town with great coffee shops, pubs and bars. I’d also go over to Rottnest island. There are fantastic beaches with clear water and exotic sea life; it’s a great place to snorkel. There are also no private cars allowed, just bikes. You can stay in a beach hut, have barby’s and chill out. If you want a Brit type place go to Hillaries harbour which is North Perth. Nice location with bars and restaurants. For more adventure go sailing or jet skiing on the Swan river. For more laid back take a wine cruise and karaoke, all from the Swan river jetty. The transport system is good and affordable and facilities are excellent. Sports events are also on all of the time as are concerts at the Subiaco stadium. If you hire a car you could go out to the mines but I can’t tell you much about that. http://www.australianexplorer.com/perth_information.htm
