Many of the trails that wind around my area are pretty exciting in terms of both exposure, and loose blocks. Here the path crosses right over the top of this house-sized overhanging rock - 400m above the valley floor

Sankt Niklaus is the town I'm most commonly working around. Like many of the villages and towns here, it's old in the center and gets progressively younger as you get to the outskirts. Just goes to show, if you do it right, and look after things they'll last a loong time

I'm continually amazed by the precariousness of the landscape here. The Gasterntal is one of my favourite impressive precarious views. Switzerland had one of it's worst ever tunnelling disasters beneath this valley when the engineers underestimated how deep the valley walls continued beneath the ground. They were already 180m below the river level, but the Loetschberg tunnel encountered the valley gravels which burst into the tunnel and killed the 25 miners, washing them 1.3km back down the tunnel

Well a little bit of the bottom. About 2 years ago this area dropped 70m as a result of glacier retreat. Bits are still falling off - fascinating.
