Last we talked with everyone, we were just leaving Paris. We then spent the next couple of days in the Rhein Valley of Germany. We had never heard of it until planning this trip, but apparently its the Castle and wine making region of the country. After just leaving Paris and London this was a nice relaxing change, and a chance for our feet to heal.......... until we accidentaly went on a 16 mile bike ride. Now were contending with sore legs and bums. But the ride was awesome and we got to ride along the prettiest stretch of river.
We have now just arrived in Switzerland, after a 7.5 hour train ride, but it wasnt too bad considering we got to look at some pretty scenery. From what weve seen so far, this is going to be a fun few days. If one of us doesnt make it back, it will likelz be from the hang gliding or river rafting that John is insistent upon doing..... So if you dont hear from us soon, please check on us. We are also planning on making our way up the tallest mountain in the area tomorrow (jungfrau) and from what i
understand there is skiiing up there still so John is also planning on endangering my life there as well.
Drew - as far as your last comment on the gas situation .. luckily we dont have to purchase any, just 15 dollar metro tickets everyday. We have passed a few gas stations here and there and its hard to tell what the true cost of the gas is as its in either euros or swiss francs and they measure in liters... by our calculations gas is 50 dollars a gallon here, be happy
Below are some more pics from the Rhein Valley and we will plan on posting a bunch more before we head out of Swizerland. Thanks for all the comments so far, keep them coming and well keep posting.
