Water Feature
This would have to be the best water feature we have seen Hi All,
Well Anna and I headed off to Geneva for the weeekdn where we were catching up with good friends of ours from NZ. Steve, Sarah, and little Caleb had been travelling through Africa on a mission trip and in between that and heading to America for some training we were able to spend 2 great days with them in the beautiful city of Geneva.
Friday night was again a great reminder of having London as a base. Leave work as normal and jumped on a plane at 8pm and 1 hour 15 minutes later we are in Switzerland. Very cool. After a bit of a catch up Friday night we were up nice and early and of course greeted by a gorgeous morning. After a few hors chatting which I think Steve and I got a few words in we headed into town. geneva is your typical Eurpoean city in that you can walk everywhere so that is just what we did. Over the lake and past the famous fountain before heading into the Old Town exploring all the different streets and sities. The boys headed up to the top of the main cathedral with great views
Jimmy and Anna
In the city overlooking the lake and of course that fountain of the city and of course that massive fountain in the lake. I love my water features but this one tops them all. Overall a lovely day just strolling through the city and by the time we were home it was a tasty supermarket meal and then we all crashed. Daylight savings ended this weekend so the extra hour sleep was fab.
Well if Saturday was a gorgeous morning then Sunday was absolutley gorgeous. Not a cloud in the sky and t-shirt weather which for the end of October is unheard of over here. Again we headed back to the city but this time headed out on a walk along the beautiful lake. Found a lovely little cafe on the lakeside for a short stop and then headed further up the lake into the botantical gardens for lunch and then up to have a look at the United Nations. It was all closed up but still good to see it. We eventually made our way back to the city where we headed home and then spent the last hour just chillin. Before we knew it we were back in London but feeling really relaxed and also very thankful for
The Sweeties
Steve, Sarah and Caleb doing a bit of posing for the camera. another great weekend. Seeing the Sweeties was just fantastic and we seemed to pack in so much with them over the two days. Still I was a little put out that they wanted to make me clean Calebs nappies!! We are so lucky having so many great friends on both sides of the world and to be enjoying so many of these experiences with different people. Another great weekend for James and Anna.
