School started for all of us. Last minute I secured a tutoring support role at an International school nearby, which I loved. Things all seem to come at once, so after loving that role for 7 weeks, I got offered a part time more permanent position at a different international school, where I already work as a Netball coach. The new job is going well, and we seem to be managing having me a different school, with a few minor hick-ups. Although Murray's 4 week stint in Bangladesh responding to the crisis there was a little stressful for the kids and I scheduling wise.

The kids and I went up to La Fouly and stayed at Camping des Glaciers for the Des Alpes, and then to a church retreat at Annecy in France, while Murray was on mission in Bangladesh. I have to say holidaying without Murray and particularly camping without Murray was not fun. We had 2 lovely families who were with us who helped out, but when you have a child up in the night being sick and while the other 2 are sleeping back at the tent, you really are 'on your own'. Hard to complain when the people Murray was interacting with are dealing with far worse. We had a few visitors, Erin and Alex from NZ, it was such a blast, fingers crossed for another visit and for more of the Parkie clan to make the trip.

Ski season has come early with our local ski field opening early December which seems unheard of. Murray and the kids have already been ice skating and skiing, I seemed to have a ridiculous amount of netball games this term, with 3 club teams, 2 school teams and playing in a team as well. I do have my skates and skis ready though and am hoping once school holidays hit, that I can join in on the winter fun.

The kids have had a good term with Charlotte playing Sally in Toad with a solo song, all the girls performed in their first piano recital, Emma is continuing with ballet at school, Charlotte and Hayley performing arts at school, and all the girls at the Theatre, Charlotte has played both netball and football for school, with 2 football medals for her teammates and her. Charlotte and Hayley have also joined the netball club that I coach

at, which has been great fun. Christmas craziness is happening at the moment with Christmas concerts and fairs at school and around. My family descend for the Christmas holiday season, which we will hopefully have snow for.
