at the Ukrainian - Slovak border I got fined 1000 Slovak crowns, which is about 33 euro (on Slovak side).
I had 2 cartons of (Marlboro) cigarettes, and allowed is to have just 1. Bastards, I did not expect they will check my backpack that thoroughly.

So I bought the cigs really "cheap". 1 carton for the price of 2 (they took the second) + 33 euro fine 😊)
Me non-smoker !! I will think twice to buy this kind of souvenir for my relatives next time ! 😊

this is part of the budhist religion. people throw coins at this pillar, or attach some talismans etc. i saw there also 1000 rubles note (almost 30 EURO). strange people, they think the more they offer, the more the god will like them or what ....

after i took this pic, the lady came out, started to hurl abuse at me, why i took that pic etc., it was hard to explain in my broken russian that i'm a tourist and it is something interesting for me as the prices are soooo cheap ... i think she thought i'm a spy.

I'm a budhist. But I've never heard of such practice. Must be a Russian version... And talking about offering to please God. I think you mistook us for other religions (i.e. look at them ravished churches and how much God really likes them)...
