In the hostel
with egyptian guy - Amin. Very nice guy.We looked up some hostel on internet. Then we went to find it according to the instructions. It was very difficult. After a long time we found the street, but could not find the hostel. People on the street did not know. No wonder, without realizing it I was at the door of it (literally 2 metres), and was asking again. No sign, no plate saying it is a hostel. It took us a while to spot behind the window on the first floor "Home Hostel" (and no other details). Something that can not be normally seen when walking on the street. Luckily they had beds for us (800 RUB per person in dorm). The hostel was nice and clean, with new facilities.
And finally some tourists like us !
Otherwise we felt like on a different planet. We did not see any tourists or foreigners on the streets. They were looking at us as on some aliens. Like thinking:"Who are these strangers with big backpacks ?" (seeing someone with backpacks was very rare), "Why are they taking pictures of that street, what is so interesting there ?". Really, we felt uncomfortable snapping photos. We were the only ones. At
last on the Red Square and around Kremlin there were some other tourists. With cameras 😊
Moscow's metro is very effective and cheap ( 1 ticket 19 RUB, and you can change the trains), so there were no problems to get to and from the hostel, to the train station etc.

No Signs

Something that can not be normally seen when walking on the street" That sounds very much like Ireland. At least that was my first impression after US :)) So in a way, you should feel at home there :)
