Hi all,

Not alble to do a proper entry as I'm at an internet cafe here but I just wanted to inform those who care (parents etc...!) that I'm alive and well. Four nights and five days on the train has drained me but the trip was out of this world... snow and snow and snow... endless journey. Anyhow, I'm in Irkutsk where it is a balmy -14C. I am heading to Lake Baikal tomorrow which holds 20% of the world's fresh water... just in case you were wondering. Snowmobiling and then off to Mongolia. Will post proper blog soon. Best always, J.

any lost paesanos?
Nonno wants to know if you have come across any Italian-speaking "Russians" so far in your Siberian travels. He maintains that after WWII none of the Italian prisoners of war ever made it back home..including at least 5 of his friends from the little town of Panni and his brother-in-law. keep safe and happy adventures, looking forward to your next blog
