Portugal Lissabon 2003

Mei 2003

Wilma heeft een verschrikkelijke hoofdpijn, maar we gaan toch op weg naar lissabon.
Kees brengt ons naar schiphol; Meer liggend dan zittend gaat wilma in auto en vliegtuig mee.
In Lissabon na wat rusten en veel pijnstillers gaan we rustig met de oude tram 12 tussen de oude smalle straatjes rijden. We bezoeken de burcht en het oude deel.

Het is een mooi aparte stad aan de kust met veel heuvels en verschillende wijken en natuurlijk de Fado.
We blijven hier enkele dagen; Lopen een paar keer naar Belém, een mooi kust- boulevard wandeling.

We nemen de trein ( prachtig moderne treinen en station) naar Estoril, met casino en stranden;
De volgende dag naar het bergplaatsje Sintres, waar veel mist hing maar een gezellig plaatsje is
Dan een dagje Porto, met de Expresstrein binnen 3 uur naar Porto, Hier lopen we wat rond het oude centrum, Zien de Eiffelbrug en bezoeken het Sandeman museum.
's avonds eten we in de verschillende oude wijken waar een hoop gezellige eettentje te vinden zijn .

Dan halen we de huurauto op en rijden 3 dagen door de plaatsjes boven Lissabon, We doen natuurlijk Coimbra aan, de oudste europese Universiteitstad. We zien heeel veel ooivaarsnesten, die ook in de elektriciteitsmasten veelvuldig aanwezig zijn.
Het weer is prachtig zonnig alle dagen en de temperatuur gelukkig nog niet te heet in Mei.

May 2003

Wilma has a terrible headache, but we're still on the way to Lisbon.
Spitz brings us to the airport, lying more than sitting in cars and aircraft will wilma them.
In Lisbon, after a rest and a lot of painkillers we go away to the old tram 12 from the old narrow streets away. We visit the castle and the old.

It's a pretty special coastal city with many hills and several districts and of course the Fado.
We stay here several days, Walking a few times to Belem, a beautiful coastal promenade walk.

We take the train (beautiful modern trains and station) to Estoril, casinos and beaches;
The next day to the mountain village Sintres where much fog hung a nice place but it is
Then one day in Porto, with the Express train to Porto within 3 hours, here we walk around the old town, see the Eiffel Bridge and visit the Sandeman Museum.
evening we eat at the various old districts where a lot of cozy eatery can be found.

Then we get the rental car and driving three days through the towns above Lisbon, Coimbra course we do, the oldest European university city. We see many veeery ooivaarsnesten, also in the power lines frequently present.
The weather is sunny all day and the temperature is fortunately not too hot in May
