Well finally we made it to Warsaw...immediately I didn't feel al that welcomed...This was a feeling that stayed with me through out our stay here...Everywhere we went, I almost felt GUILTY about being there...At any of the Museums or Churches people would shout at us for the most random things and we were clueless as to what was going on hald the time...EXAMPLE----We got to the Royal Castle thingy and the sign on the door(which was all in English only) said that there would be tours between ten and one or something like that..When we got to eh 'Kasa' boot to buy the ticket this woman SHOUTED at us for asking could we buy two tickets for the tour..'NO TOUR' she replied..and that as that..no explanation, nothing to be honest...Fair enough I'd say something if it were the language barrier that prevented her from communicating with us but it obviously wasnÄt because she mad eno attempt to talk in an language what so ever..She basically just wanted us out of there...I returned to the massive sign , FUMING at what happened to read it again to be sure i was correct and I WAS...It simply read that there were english tours
between this time for an extra 3 euro i think each, a price i would quite happily of paid...This i just don't get..Yes we are tourists in THEIR country but isn't that what is funding her job, everyone is paying the very same to see the bloody place..The City is thriving on TOURISTS alone half the time so why make us feel like we shouldn#t of bothered leaving the train station of Berlin and by passed the city completely????hmmmmm...This city just puzzles me,,,
It is true what someone on a train said recently to me, 'A smile can go a long way, in a country you already feel Lost in'....Anywhere we walked around in this city we were greeted with very unhappy people who would sooner run you over in their ever so speedy cars or even walk over you themselves ont he sidewalks...My god i'm baffled.,,,,I came here to experience a different culture and meet new people in a different setting but I was terrified to even look up for fear of who might be before me..When we arrived at the Hostel we paid a young boy for the beds and left for some sight seeing..When we returned
later that evening two girls behind the counter then accused us of not paying TWICE...At that stage i was fit to explode and was quite happy with the thought that i wouldn't be here all that long..
Moving swiftly on to the City itself and leaving the people far behind...We went straight to the old town and atthis point it was like six or seven in the morning so the place was deserted...This was pretty cool as we had all the time in the world to see the City!! We had it all to ourselves for a few hours before the hungry Tourists arrived with their Gigantic camera's and the most annoying ways of taking pictures...I mean how many ways can an Asian man take a picture of his wife standing by a fountain????well the list SEEMS to be endless....All in all though, the old town was beautiful..it may only contain a small square of houses which were rebuilt after the bombings of world war but it was enough to satisfy by traveling taste buds...The various colours on the houses splashed all over the place is quite spectacular....
We went to the Museum of Warsaw where we saw
Heaven
I take a well earned rest after a night of no sleep and a day of a lot of Walking, Sight Seeing and Hemingway..Nice park...Strange that we had to pay to go in there though... a film on the History of the City which was amazing...It gave the sight seeing after that little extra buzz when we knew the story behind everything we saw all that better...The Parks here are out of this world...Looking back on the pictures it almost looks fake...Nothing could be so perfect surely??But no...that is exactly how we found it...People seemed to stroll through the park on their way to work or school or home unknown to the beauty that surrounded them,,I just stood there in amazement..I guess it is all new to me....It's like telling someone who lives in a house on the edge of a cliff looking out onto the sea and the most amazing view ever, 'you are the luckiest person alive with such a view at your doorstep' and they look back at you, as though to them it's like looking out at the same field of grass for the past twenty years,,,
Another fascinating thing we came across was the 'buddy bears' ha ha...An exhibition that is only here for a few weeks..a Bear for every country in the united nations, decorated by a national artist from their own country..They each describe the over all
feel of the country from which it's from..i thought it was hilarious that out of the few hundred that were there, it was the irish one that stood out immediately as the stereotypical Leprechaun that we loved oh so well..
Lot's of churches here also..AND THE MOST AMAZING CINEMA IN THE WORLD..deadly..DEADLY SERIOUS...It's around now that i'm also really beginning to feel the strain of being away from my family so long..it's strange not seeing them now...I'm missing my brother's birthday and the first time he'll ever drive..Today was the first morning i woke up that i immediately felt like i wanted to be home,..I know i wouldn't swap this trip for anything in the world..but you can't help but miss loved one's right????I'm beginning to forget what a normal break at home is like..its been well over a year that i spent more then 3 days straight at home...I'm sure in a few months i'll read back on this and laugh at how stupid i sound...That i didn't realise how lucky i am..but for now..that's how i feel...If i coudl transport all those i love out here, wouldn't life be bliss??ha ha,,
ya i wish...
so
Spot the Irish??
There were a good few hundred peace bears here..but no...only the Irish could be recognized from afar... that's al

Church?
Not sure if perhaps you're being ironic and the humor is just lost on me...but the photo you've labeled as "Church...Warsaw has a lot of churches going on" confused me. That is the Palace of Culture and Science, no?
