Town Hall Tower
They say that it does lean a bit, but I think one of my legs is shorter than the other. Sammy and Hank saw us to the airport, and we are on our way to Krakow after three hectic months of preparations. oh the vaccinations! The next chapter in our lives, this one in Europe, begins in the Rynek Glowny, on a beautiful fall evening, September 29. After a quick glance at our new home, we walked up to the Market Square, known as the Rynek Glowny. This huge town square, ringed with restaurants and shops, is the social center of Old Town.
In the center is the Cloth Market and the Town Hall Tower. Not only is it picturesque, as you wander through the streets you'll hear music. A single accordion player, a folk duet, a strolling trio. Just a beautiful place, literally a world apart from our norm!
The apartment is on the bank of the Vistula River. On the corner, Wawel Hill, with it's castle and cathedral has been home to kings for centuries, is now a mecca for Poles. Everyday there are busloads of school kids and tourists, going by our building on their way to the castle. In the mornings we watch vendors pushing their carts into place, arranging the souvenirs and usual

on the bank of the Vistula tourist snacks. It's not quite a pretzel, it's obwarzanki. Keep in mind that "w" are pronounced "v", making this little treat difficult to request, so I point!
