Hi Everyone
We are now in Geiranger and words can’t describe the scenery in front of us,it’s stunning,Geirangerfjord is a UNESCO world heritage site for it’s Fjord landscape.
The Fjord describes an S shape.Waterfalls tumble down the steep mountain sides and there is evidence of abandoned farmsteads.
Geiranger is a small settlement consisting of 250 core population, but is a magnet for visitors, including cruise passengers, for its spectacular setting at the head of the fjord..
During our stay there has been 2 cruise liners in port..
The Hotel had a small historic car museum which was fun to see.
Also I spent 2 hours with my new friend Nanny from the Netherlands swimming in the 2 pools ,one was medium water and the other hot and that was outside below the mountains, and we lay in the sun enjoying ourselves.
To top the day off we had a picnic with Wok and Lyn our friends from Canberra for dinner outside under the mountains.
Leave Geiranger Tommorrow morning
Enjoy the pictures
