Middelburg, the capital of the province of Zeeland was our next stop. We had heard from many that it was an excellent introduction into the Netherlands and after being here a couple of days we agree. As soon as we left the town of Middelburg by bike we saw it was surrounded by farm land.

It’s a garbage can for those on the bike trail –you can throw into it without getting off your bike!

Saw this farm with 1927 on the roof - it reminded us of places back in the US.

We took a bike ride to a neighboring town and rode by these residential homes.

We saw one woman on a bike in traditional dress (minus the yoke!) but the best I could do is a sign of a poster

We enjoy looking at the variety of bikes – this one was quite an interesting combination of car & bike!
