Managed to get on my train after a quick pint in the Railway. No issues getting to Harwrch and easily checked in and embarkred the ferry. Had a miniture cabin with bathroom TV etc. Dumped my stuff there and then made my way to the bar below for a cider.

Was pretty tired so thought would head for an early night. Bunk was quite comfy but woken 3 times in the night with the ship rolling around in rough seas- must've been bad as was a huge ship so usually wouldnt feel a thing

Anyway arroved at Hoek of Holland on time, left the boat and went to get train. TRouble is none came and some Dutch woman kindly translated the announcements saying the had been cancelled due to a problem on the line. Found a cafe and lingered in the warm drinking a a cup of tea as it was bloody freezing. Afer an hour and a half a train turned up and I was on route to Rotterdam, Achange there then a VERY slow journey to Amsterday- I was deceived by the name "sprinter" train which is what we would call a "stopper"

Got to Centraal Station eventually, dumped backpack in luggage lockers and went outside. Greeted but pouring rain foolwed by hailstoones so decided to buy canal bus ticket and sightsee in the dry.

Between the canal bus and walking when weath improved the day passed pleasantly and made my way to Schipol to get the plane to Abu Dhabi.

Still believe Schipol is one on the most user friendly airports around
