We left Willemstad and headed west out to the North Sea to make the jump up on the outside to get to Amsterdam. The plan is to visit Amsterdam for a few days and then move on to Lelystad where we will take the boat out of the water for repairs. We have been disappointed by how little we can recycle here in Amsterdam. It differs from town to town, but here it is only glass and the rest is garbage.

They have roof top terraces, porches, and entrance gates. If you want to add on, just add a barge out back!

We got to see the Amsterdam Marina setting up for a boat show coming up the following week.

Free ferries are used by pedestrians, bikers (both pedal & motor) and we have even seen small cars on them.

Abound. The one that looks like a package had been the Shell headquarters but is now empty.

This restaurant is made from them. The beach seating is really for the restaurant – quite a nice place to eat and unwind.

Interesting shoes for biking in. Rumble seats with backs & seats for kids in the back & the front.

We were fortunate to get to visit the Rijks Museum as it has been closed for 10 years for a major renovation.

What is the item in delft? It is actually a flower vase, each vessel is to hold a flower – it was the art of the woman arranging to be sure it was balanced and did not topple and break.

They have spent 10 years renovating the Rijks – it was very impressive to see.

The weather was beautiful & there were plenty of tourists around in front of the Rijks Mueum.
