Sam at the train station overlooking the canal
We got to Amsterdam around 2 am our time which was 9AM in the Netherlands. We attempted sleep but had no luck. We took the subway from the airport to centraal station which is walking distance from downtown Amesterdam. Wwanted erred through the streets Avoiding birds, mopeheads and bikes. Sam learnt quickly to stay off the streets hah there was a few near misses.Full of energy we walked around, grabbed an espresso and got our berings after getting hosed on a 6 euro map.

We walked the rEd light district, and I managed tosneak in with Sam and beat the huge line to see Anne frank's house. It was very hard to see how small of an area housed so many people. I was really happy I had got a chance to see it and Sam loved it.

We ate, and headed backafterawaking around some more, we both decided we loved it there, largeBart because of the canals. We splurged on 15 euro showers at the airport and headed to our flight where we were faced with the worst luck as usual wi a 5 foot English man with body odour that could kill a horse. Sam switched seats

instantly and I soon found a seat near her. We connected in Nairobi and rushed to our flight, in our walking realiced first hand how new of a world we were in with the Nairobi airport being so crowded and us a very clear visible minority. We got onto our connecting flight, to find 3 bags not arriving in entebbe with us. Of course !
