Having been made an offer I couldn't refuse, I left 30 years of (office) work behind and now 'work' outdoors.
As Nehru so neatly said, we live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open.
Thus, with eyes open and asking questions, I hope to continue learning through experience and travel, as these are as education in themselves.

Singel BloemenmarktI used to enjoy coming down to this market at the weekend although, at the end of March, the weather wasn't conducive to photography. However, there were plenty of Tulips but my eyes were drawn to the flowers of the summer!
De WaagBuilt in 1488 and part of the original city walls, this is now an incredible restaurant in Nieuwmarkt. I never got to visit when I lived here however, I was working here a few years ago (flitting between Amsterdam and Paris) and was fortunate enough to dine with (very) senior members of IBM (over from the US)
Magere Brug... otherwise known as the "Skinny Bridge".
During the 1980s, women, protesting at the lack of "facilities" that were enjoyed by the males, used the bridge as an open-air toilet. They were rewarded for their efforts by their own pissoir-en!
