Kelly and Douwe
The night before their big day... Amanda
We spent the morning pottering around Haarlem for a bit, sampled some Dutch chocolates and I managed to buy myself another pair of shoes 😊
Then we had a 2 hour train ride to Nijmegen. We have finally arrived at the location for the wedding and caught up with Kelly and Douwe, the happy couple. It is 2 days before their wedding. We had a delicious dinner with their families and some friends. Travis was happy as he got to play with a 3 year called Tyra which involved much cutting of paper.
I also helped out a little with some of the arty wedding preparations that were left to do.

mmmm Dutch chocolate...
Nijmegen (pronounced 'nigh-may-gen') is one of two dutch towns which claim to be "Holland's oldest town", with Nijmegen supposedly being 2000 years old this year.
Kelly kindly organised for us to stay with friends, but unfortunately we didn't get the email, so had already booked and paid for our accommodation in a bed and breakfast before we found out.
Dinner with Kelly and Douwe's families was delicious and it was fantastic to catch up with the happy couple after
Nijmegen Train Station
Yes, it's the station - very interesting so long. Thursday night we went out to a chinese restaurant with the family and friends as a wedding rehearsal dinner.
The weather here in Holland is strange... clear skies one minute, raining the next.
Tomorrow... the wedding! sooo exciting...

Amanda's being modest, she saved the wedding by making a ring cushion the night before the wedding! Thanks so much!!!
