At the Opening Ceremonies the competitors bring traditional goodies from their countries to share and often dress in traditional clothes. The team (3) on left competed in French and are from Cote d'Ivoire; the 3 on the right competed in English and are from South Africa

After the closing ceremonies and dinner the real celebrating began with group photos, then dancing and wine . . . .

One of our people was stationed at the French Embassy in Skopje and had lived in Macedonia for a few years. He brought wine from his favorite vineyard and the staff had a wine tasting party one evening.

This was the lower deck; we were dancing on the upper deck too on our way to Ohrid city. The party boat back after dark was even more raucous

Christophe, the administrator, arranged a very fun day for everyone: boat trip complete with DJ and dancing, tour in Ohrid, return party boat

The party boat brought everyone to the center of Ohrid where many saw the sights and others were drawn to lakeside cafes - it was a beautiful day

The Air Force Academy team with Rasha, one of the competition winners from Essex, UK. Every year Bernie goes to CO Springs to work with the cadets who will compete in the Jean-Pictet competition (also teams going to Clara Barton and San Remo competitions). FYI: The Air Force team that competed in this year's Clara Barton competition in DC WON.

It was still snowing that evening, so our meal in this warm and inviting restaurant was much appreciated

We were exhausted and hungry, but had all of our needs met at our hotel, including help from the manager the next morning in dealing with the car rental company

We had a mountain view in a very comfortable room - love having a sitting area - with excellent wifi

After our ordeal/adventure in Brajcino and a delicious meal we fell into bed exhausted and slept like logs that night
