Bongiorno,
We travelled from Geneva to Venice by train, taking in the breathtaking views of the Alps. On arrival, we were mesmerized by the beautiful buildings and people dressed for Carnivale in their elaborate costumes and masks. We spent many hours observing the people promenading through the narrow alley ways and over the many bridges that make up Venice. We were also compelled to join in with the dress ups, popping on our masks. You are never to old for dress ups!
We enjoyed the fine food and wine, which has played a staring role in our travels so far and stayed in the gorgeous Ruzzini Pallace, a stones throw from San Marcos Square. Venice during Carnivale was a wonderful unplanned surprise, no doubt one of many to come.
