We visited a monastery and got a tour from a monk. He gave the tour in Italian and I stood beside him and translated... but he would say too many things at once and then look over for me to translate, and I would already forget what he said, so I would just sort of translate a few phrases and then smile at him. I don't think he knew, but the students thought it was pretty funny.
