Arrived in Siena yesterday. After a couple of days of rain in Florence, the sun is shining and it is getting hot. Siena is very different to Florence. It feels much more ‘tourist town’ than the real city Florence was. I really like it for that reason though - loads of interesting shops to explore and amazing architecture at every turn. We have done some of the major sights today including some time at Il Campo - the major Piazza in Siena and reputedly one of the best Piazza’s in Italy. Also, seen Siena’s Duomo, which is highly adorned in typical Catholic Church style. Enjoyed another ice cream too (working my way through the flavours!).
