Medieval Florence and Michelangelo

Today is travel day and our Eurostar train departes Rome for Florence at 1:15 pm. The ride was fast and comfortable. After getting checked in to Hotel de Croce Malta, we meet Rocky Ruggiero, art historian and listen to his presentation on Medieval Florence and Michelangelo. After dinner at the Hotel, we take an orientation walk and become familiar with Piazza Santa Maria Novella and the local gelatto store on the corner (rifght across from our hotel).
